Vibration sensors include vibration displacement sensors, vibration velocity sensors and vibration acceleration sensors.

Simply put, vibration displacement sensors (commonly eddy current sensors) work based on the correlation between variations in vibration displacement and output voltage. Vibration velocity sensors generate voltage changes through relative motion cutting magnetic lines of force. Vibration acceleration sensors operate according to the relationship between deformation and electric charge. Displacement can be obtained from velocity sensors via hardware or software integration; vibration velocity can be derived from acceleration sensors through single integration, and vibration displacement can be acquired via double integration.

Vibration acceleration sensors are indispensable when acceleration measurement is required.

Displacement measurement: Vibration displacement sensors (eddy current sensors) are mandatory for non-contact clearance variation measurement. For contact measurement, displacement can be calculated from acceleration sensors by double integration or from velocity sensors by single integration. The selection of measurement methods depends on the measured object. Generally, acceleration sensors are adopted for targets involving gears or rolling bearings, while velocity sensors are used for other cases.
